Richard's development since act 1

Richard's way with words has no doubt been on point since the onset of this play. He could talk his way through everything and that is exactly what he did. In act 1, all Richard spoke about was his plan and the audience could see that he already has it on the way. As soon as King Edwards died he sprang into action so that no one could get in his way of the crown killing who he had to to keep them quiet or just out of his way and of course lie. Lying seems to be the most prominent characteristic of Richard but not just lying but lying as if it were the only truth he knew, knowing exactly how to form the words and bring them across so as to not mess up himself in the long run. Of course Richard had help from his friends but his heartless characteristic was proven yet again when he treated Buckingham as a stranger begging for bread for thinking twice before carrying out his request oh murder. Richard advanced from brother of the King to Protector of the young Prince to King with the use of his smarts, charms, authority but mostly by his will power.
